The Story
Pega creates a massive amount of video content across recurring series and sub-brands like Pega Express, What’s New In, Tech Talk, and Events. Between 2023 and 2025, as the brand evolved, I was brought in to redefine how all of it moved. I owned the entire process — taking care of the concept, the art direction, and the final animation.
Working directly from Pega’s core brand book, I had to translate static brand guidelines into a living, breathing motion identity. The challenge wasn't just to make things look beautiful year after year, but to build a system that was remarkably easy to use.
The twist? The final assets weren't just for professional editors. They were a self-service toolkit for marketing teams and internal stakeholders who needed to spin up videos without breaking the brand rules or opening After Effects.
Motion Components in Practice
Lower Thirds were the first major building block. They adjusted automatically to text length, used smooth slide-up reveals, and kept animation timing consistent across all videos. This small element quickly became a visual anchor for our interviews and educational series, saving hours of manual setup.
Dropdowns & Toggles: Users could easily switch styles, tweak layouts, or turn specific visual elements on and off using custom checkboxes and dropdowns built directly into the template.
The Vibe & The Impact: By owning the process from concept to final keyframe, I turned a complex multi-series workflow into an effortless, self-service playground. Editors and internal teams could independently customize and spin up brand-accurate videos in minutes—without ever needing to open After Effects or worry about breaking the brand rules.
